LAKE KATRINE- Ida (Boice) Bogert, 84, of Lake Katrine, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine. She was born May 19, 1926 in Kingston to the late Myron Boice Sr. and his wife Elinor Shaw. She was married to her loving husband David W. Bogert; they wed on Oct. 12 1947. David passed away on Jan. 16th 1991. Ida was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1945 and then the Moran's Business School in Kingston. She worked as a sales clerk for Britt's Department Store in Kingston, for many years until her retirement. Ida was a member of The Plattekill Reformed Church and The Ladies Circle. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Baxter and her husband Michael of Lake Katrine, Patricia Bogert of Lake Katrine, siblings, Myron Boice Jr. of High Falls, Elinor Leedecke of Orangeburg, S.C., Anna McGinnis of Lake Katrine, Shirley Ruth of Hurley, granddaughters, Karen Hendricksen, Venus Gaebel, Marie Baxter, great-grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Connor, Nicholas, Isabella, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her son David W. Bogert Jr. and her brothers Lewis and Roger Boice. Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401, where friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Plattekill Reformed Church with Rev. Robert Vanderlaan, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Marion Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to The Plattekill Reformed Church, 622 Kings Highway, Saugerties, 12477 or ALS Association, Development Department, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301
