Junior was born July 28, 1932, in Sissonville, W.Va., to the late Emmett Sr. and Mary Miller Boggess. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Boggess; sister Deloris Parrish; and grandson Stephen Hensley.
Junior was a truck driver for all of his life and was a retired member of Teamsters 992. He enjoyed NASCAR and basketball, but his biggest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy Renfroe Boggess; children Roberta (Lewis) Fannin, Nancy Stephens, Terry (Sharon) Hensley, Marsha (Larry) Harr, Ronnie (Brenda) Boggess and Sam (Wendy) Boggess; sisters Joy Mairs, Sherry Daniel, Teresa Goodwin and Wanda Hemmings; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Brother Stan Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Ashland Cemetery.
