OBITUARY:

Alberta Bogan, 92, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday at Greene County General Hospital.

Born Aug. 17, 1903, in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Alfred and Josephine (Ellis) Peterson. A teacher for more than 40 years, she had taught at Newberry, Solsberry and Bloomfield high schools. She had also worked with her husband, the late John Bogan, in the family business, Bogan's Regal Store.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Indiana State and National Retired Teachers associations and Bloomfield First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school.

Survivors include one nephew, David Flater of Bloomington; and one sister-in-law, Rose Bogan of Indianapolis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.

Friends may call 5-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the funeral home.
