Deceased Name: Cpl. Adam Christopher Neely Boesel
San Diego, CA

Adam passed from this life into God's hands April 8, 2000 while on a training exercise in Arizona. He was proudly serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA. The aircraft accident claimed 18 other Marines .

Adam was born July 25, 1977 to Ronald and Patricia Neely in Okanogan. Following Ron's death, Patti married Craig Boesel May 6, 1978. They made their home at a ranch on Bear Creek at Winthrop, a ranch that Adam helped create with many hours of labor alongside of his dad and brothers. He did all jobs from his least favorite of "picking" rocks, to his more preferred jobs of baling hay and working with the cattle. Adam graduated from Liberty Bell High School in 1995.

He enjoyed sports, particularly baseball and football, while in high school. During the winter months, he enjoyed snowboarding, and in the summer, hunting groundhogs while decked out in full camouflage gear. Of course, this had to be worked in between all of the sprinklers. When it came to repairs, he was an advocate of "the more duct tape--the better." He also enjoyed being part of the Volunteer Fire Department.

After graduation, Adam attended Spokane Falls Community College and worked at Olympic Sports. During his time in Spokane, he played summer softball with his brother Brian and Uncle Kelly.

In January 1997, Adam enlisted under the "buddy" system with his lifetime friend, Cayle Maxwell.

While stationed in San Diego, Adam fell in love with and married Jenifer Randolph and her one-year-old daughter, Elizabeth on Sept. 4, 1999. With the addition of his beloved "two girls," Adam's life was enriched to the fullest. The time spent being a dad to Elizabeth and a partner to "Jen," were his priorities in life. They were excitingly planning their return to Winthrop to live and raise their family at the Bear Creek ranch.

Adam is survived by his wife, Jenifer and stepdaughter, Elizabeth; his mother, Patricia Weaver and husband, Mike Weaver in Omak; his Dad, Craig Boesel of Winthrop; brother, Brian Neely, wife, Stacie and their baby son, Scott of Spokane; brothers, Jared and Lance Boesel of Winthrop; grandparents, Plumer Neely of Okanogan, Joyce and Larry Brew of Omak, Don Johnson of Twisp and Dorothy Boesel of Winthrop; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many more loving relatives in his extended family.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rendeth Neely, grandmother, Wyoma Neely and grandfather, Vic Boesel.

A military service will be held at the Liberty Bell Jr./Sr. High School with a full military burial at Sullivan Cemetery in Winthrop, followed by a meal back at the high school. Date and time of the funeral services will be announced at a later date.

Memorials in Adam's name can be made to the Education/Service Fund. Donations can be sent to Farmer's State Bank, PO Box 489, Winthrop, WA 98862, or a charity of choice.
