Evelyn Virginia Bodkin Blosser, 82, of Clover Hill Road in Dayton, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Blosser was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Brandywine, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Russell Forest and Cleta Virginia Turner Bodkin.
She lived her early life in Mount Clinton, where she attended school. She was employed at People?s Drug Store, where she was manager of the Fountain in Harrisonburg. She moved back to Lilly and worked at Wampler Foods (WLR) in Hinton before retiring. She attended Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
On Aug. 21, 1944, she married Frederick Paul Blosser Jr., who preceded her in death July 21, 1976.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Allen Blosser and Roger Wayne Blosser, both of Dayton; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-granddaughter.
Wendell "Sonny" Henkel will conduct the funeral 3 p.m. Wednesday at the McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Mount Horeb Cemetery.
