Gale Eugene Blurton, 70, died March 4, 1998, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 4, 1927, at Zenda, the son of Mark J. and Mable C. Newberry Blurton. A resident of Medicine Lodge since 1950, moving from Attica, he was a mechanic in the oil fields. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both at Medicine Lodge.
On September 26, 1950, he married Leona M. Burenheide at Sharon. She survives.
Survivors include: a son, Don G. Blurton, Hays; two daughters, Carol M. Norris, Coats, and Diane K. Greenwood, Valley Center; a brother, Bob Blurton, Attica; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge, with Father Anthony Suellentrop presiding. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
Memorials may be sent to the church in care of Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
