Virginia (Blum) Blum, born Virginie Blum, 19 April 1848 at Lauterbourg, Bas-Rhin, France, the daughter of Isaac Blum and Julie (Fromenthal) Blum, died Friday, 30 August 1929, at her residence, 60 West 68th Street in New York City, "in her eightieth year." Private burial services were held Saturday, 1 September 1929, at Salem Fields Cemetery in Cypress Hills, Long Island.
Mrs. Blum, "well known in Jewish circles," was preceded in death by her husband, Hyman Blum, the son of Abraham Blum and Henriette (Roth) Blum, whom she married 30 October 1867 at New York City, New York. Seven children survived Mrs. Blum: Mrs. Carl Kaller [Koller], Mrs. Samuel Rothenberg, Mrs. Andre S. David, Joseph H. Blum, Louis L. Blum, Lilly Blum, and Edwin R. Blum.
