Anna was born in 1876 in Germany to Carl and Christina Schramm. Anna immigrated to the US in 1886.
She married Frank Arthur Blue who was born in New York in 1883. He was 6 years younger than her. Apparently he was not her first husband. She was first married at age 20 (about 1896). He was first married at age 27 (about 1910). Frank moved to Portland in 1920
During the 1930 census they lived in Mount Scott, a neighborhood in Portland, Oregon where Frank was a laborer for the telephone company. For a very brief time it seems Anna and Frank lived in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he was an electrician. In 1940 they lived outside of Portland where Frank was a farmer. In 1942 they lived back in Portland, Oregon. Frank was unemployed at that time. Frank went blind in 1952.
On 8/12/1959, Anna was admitted to the Oregon State Hospital, a residential facility in Salem, Oregon for the treatment of people with mental illness. Anna was diagnosed with "chronic brain system" which is sometimes called dementia. She died of heart problems 18 days after entering the institution. She was 82.
Frank died at his Laurelwood neighborhood home in Portland in July 1983 at the age of 100.
