Diane L. “Toodie” Baril, 66, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Northwood Deaconess Hospital, Northwood, ND.
Diane Lea Block was born September 11, 1948 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Warren and Amelia (Geatz) Block. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School. Diane was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating, and spending time with her family. She loved to spend time working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Some of her favorite memories growing up were those spent at the lake. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Diane is survived by long-time companion, Gregg Baril; a son, Matthew (Tiffany) Baril, Crookston, MN; daughters, Christy (Bryan) Inglis, East Grand Forks, MN, Jenny (Loren) Scramstad, Bemidji, MN; brothers, Richard (Denise) Block, Fargo, ND, Curtis (Marlene) Block, Maple Lake, MN, Daniel (Shelley) Block, Rugby, ND Tim (Leslie) Block, Lakeville, MN; sisters, Pat Bruggeman, Coon Rapids, MN, Therese (Bruce) Brierley, East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren, Cade, Carter, Ethan, Cora, Hailey and Gretchen and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 216 Belmont Road, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.
Burial: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Mentor, MN.
