Dale was a truck driver for Rath Packing Company. He and his wife Helen enjoyed fishing together and family photo albums are full of pictures of them camping and fishing together. Dale and Helen also had a boat in Dubuque, IA on the Mississippi river. The grandkids remember spending time with them boating and fishing on the river. Dale loved big band music and had a reel-to-reel tape player with his favorites on it and also had a huge Zenith combination TV, stereo and record player in the living room and the grandkids remember grandpa Dale listen to his music after dinner on weekends.
