Ernest Dale Blickenstaff, 64, died at 10 PM Friday, Feb. 6, 1976, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was admitted three weeks ago, after being ill for a year. Born and reared at Rossville, he was a graduate of Manchester College. In 1973, he was married to Helen Dexter Helkamp, who is employed at L.S. Ayres in Market Square.
Mr. Blickenstaff was retired from Alcoa where he had been in charge of the store department at the local plant and at Pittsburg, PA, for 30 years before retiring in 1971. He attended Congress Street United Methodist Church and was a member of Alcoa 25-Year Club.
Surviving with his widow are a son from a former marriage, Lynn Blickenstaff of Lewisport, KY; two brothers, Earl Blickenstaff of Frankfort and Russell Blickenstaff of Attica; and two grandchildren.
