WIDOW OF CECIL T. BLEDSOE (MSGT US AIR FORCE, WORLD WAR II, KOREA) 11/29/1917-3/20/1988

CANETA ROSE ELLIOTT BLEDSOE, passed quietly in the arms of her Savior September 30, 2007. Born in Camden, Arkansas on either October 23, 1921 or October 28, 1921 (opinions vary), she was raised in Fordyce and worked as a trick rider for local rodeos during her youth. She married her childhood choice, Cecil Thomas Bledsoe, also of Fordyce in 1941 and during the war served as a stateside pilot. She spent many years traveling in the military life and settled for many years in West Memphis, Arkansas. Retired after 30 years from the Walgreens Company in 1998, she relocated to Dayton Ohio in 2001. She leaves behind a grateful daughter, Cecily Robin Dodge; son-in-law, W.R. 'Beau" Dodge; grandson, David J. Dodge of Dayton, Ohio; and assorted relatives in the local area. She will be laid to rest in the Memphis National Cemetery beside her beloved husband of 46 years.
