She was involved with the Bethesda Mission as a volunteer supporting donation drives and dinners to feed the homeless. She was also involved with the Assisted Living for the Mentally Challenged.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard M. Blauch. She is survived by a son, Leonard (Bill) Peffer of Dauphin, a daughter, Vicki Bircher of Etters; 3 brothers, Charles K. Hilton of Hummelstown, James Hilton of Highspire, Gary Hilton of Tennesse, a sister, Helen Morelock of Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Levi and Luke Peffer of Dauphin, Mike and Jennifer Bircher of New Cumberland, and Matthew Bircher of Etters.
Services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009, at 1:00 PM in the Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland, PA, with the Reverend Sue Patterson officiating. There will be a viewing Sunday from 12 noon until the time of service.
Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery, Lewisberry, PA.
