and Punta Gorda FL, formerly of Needham, died on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the age of 78.
Life:
Joan grew up in Marshfield and was a graduate of the Mass General Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.
She was a Registered Nurse at the former Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham for over 30 years. Joan lived in Needham into the 1990's and spent the summers in Westport Point and winters in Punta Gorda FL. She and her late husband taught a GED program in Florida. Joan enjoyed knitting and was an active member of the Westport Senior Center.
Family:
The Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Behrman, she was the loving mother of Robert J. Behrman II and his wife Jeanne of Bellingham, Dr. Stephen W. Behrman and his wife Robyn of Memphis TN and Suzanne Derenzo of Needham.
Sister of Ken Blass of So. Yarmouth. Dear grandmother of Anneliese, Arthur and Caroline Behrman.
