She was lovingly called "GaGa" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She died peacefully on April 15, 2013 at the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
Helen lived most of her life in Louisville, KY. She lived the last five years of her life in Charlotte, NC, to be near her two grandchildren. Helen was a homemaker and excellent cook. She loved to paint and spend time with her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Glenvil Bain; and her son, Stanley Floyd Pridemore.
She is survived by her brothers, Roy Blanton and his wife, Garnell of Mason, OH, and Charles Ray Blanton and his wife, Nancy of Jolton, TN; granddaughter, Jill Pridemore of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Scott Pridemore and his wife, Laura; and her great-granddaughters, Sarah Ann and Katie Pridemore of Charlotte, NC.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at noon at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, KY. W.G. Hardy Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Kidney Foundation.
