After Othel's death Rosa Etta re-married to David Manly Battle who was also a widower. David was born 5 August 1871 and died 18 September 1931. He was married 1st to Sallie Henderson and they had 2 children Prue and Marie. Rosa & David married on 14 March 1925 in Shelby County, Alabama. They had 2 children:
4. William Martha Battles known as "W.M." 12 February 1926-18 January 1996. WM Battles married Betty Lou Davis. He also went by Battles instead of Battle.

After David's death Rosa Etta married 3rd to widower Exer Washington Blackmon on 8 November 1931 in Chilton County, Alabama. His first wife was Janie Jones.
