COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - 08/27/2011
BLAND, EVA M. (PENCE), 62, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was a former clerk for Butternut Bread, where she had worked for 15 years. Her sister, Beverly Heffernan, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, James D. Bland; four sons, Darren Pence (Lisa), Dennis Pence, Ronnie Pence (Michelle), and Joe Pence (Carol.); her sister, Carol Hamilton; and 11 grandchildren. The Family wishes to thank Hosparus of Louisville and Dr. Sheth and his staff for their years of excellent and compassionate service. Her funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, followed by entombment at Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday. Expressions may take the forms of contributions to Hosparus of Louisville.
