Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Blanchard) Armstrong, of Marshfield, passed away on Feb. 10, 2014 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late John Jack Armstrong. Loving mother of Lisa McDonough and her husband Kevin of Marshfield, Deborah Armstrong and her husband Matt Howe of Marshfield and Shelley Elmes and her husband Dan of Deerfield, N.H. Loving grandmother of Kayla, Riley, Jake and Tori McDonough, Mary and Jack Harkin and Daniel, Patrick, Jason and Justin Elmes. Dear sister of Nancy Aucoin and her husband Bill of Waltham, Millie Aucoin of Northborough and the late George Blanchard, Irene Matthews and Helen Whapham. Daughter of the late Peter and Mabel Blanchard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born in Boston and raised in Waltham. She graduated from St. Josephs School in Roxbury. Elizabeth worked for New England Telephone Company and as an office manager at Cohasset Colonials Furniture Co. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting and rug hooking. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139, in Marshfield on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christines Church, 1295 Main St. Rte. 3A in Marshfield at 10 a.m. Interment in Couch Cemetery.
