Roxie was married to Walter Tribble, Jr. and this union was blessed with four children, Walter III, Shirley, Kathleen (deceased) and Eddie. Later she had Bryant Buchanan. There are two grandchildren, Joshua and Brittany Loyd and two great grandchildren, Alexis Loyd and Mikayla Tucker. Roxie is also survived by two sisters, Ollie Valentine and Estella MacTurch, as well as nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kathleen Loyd; her brother, Sandy and three sisters, Katherine, Katy and Eddy.
After moving to South Bend in 1958, Roxie worked at Model Coverall, the YMCA and the University of Notre Dame. She was a devoted Notre Dame fan. She was a master seamstress and a very good cook. She loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
