Sandra Gene Key Blakely
Anonymous The Herald-Banner Fri Dec 11, 2009, 12:03 AM CST

Sandra Gene Key Blakely was born Dec. 12, 1956. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1975.

She departed this life to rest in the arms of Jesus on Dec. 7, 2009.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today in Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home. The wake will be at Pilgrim Tabernacle Church from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Her funeral service/birthday celebration will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She is now lying in His bosom, along with her parents, Roe Daulphus Key Sr. and Claudine Flint Key as well as three siblings who died in their early life.

She was a 37-year member of Pilgrim Tabernacle Church of Deliverance where Elder Wesley D. Pearce is the pastor and where she was the Sunday School Secretary, Assistant Sunday School Teacher and a Missionary.

She was a member of the Greenville Home League and was known near and far for her cooking and her special "TEA." She was a natural nurturer so it was no surprise that she was a nurse by trade, and had worked as well for Hunt County Community Services for years serving the needs of people.

She leaves to mourn her three brothers, Bruce and wife Alice, Curtis and wife Phyllis and Roe Kay, all of Greenville; two aunts, two uncles, four godchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.
