AUSABLE FORKS -- Betty J. Blaise, 73, of 26 Pettigrew Road, in AuSable Forks, N.Y., passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center, in Plattsburgh.
Betty was born Feb. 15, 1935, in Lake Placid, N.Y., the daughter of Norman and Mary (Smith) Coolidge.
She served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Nurses Aide for Clinton County Home Health Aid.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Bonnie and Raymond Trombley Jr. of Va., Norman H. Blaise Jr. and Maria Shaw of Calif., and Robert J. Blaise and Cathy Chamberland, Crystal and Lucien LaFountain and Tina and Shaun Sullivan, all of AuSable Forks, N.Y.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Ralph Knapp of AuSable Forks, N.Y., and Norma and John Gwynn of Clayton, N.C.; one brother, William and Judy Wemette of Lake Placid, N.Y.
Betty is predeceased by her husband, Norman H. Blaise Sr.; and a sister, Junie Coolidge; and one niece, Heather Blaise.
Visitation hours will be Friday, April 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.; with a funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks, N.Y.
Burial will take place at a later date in the spring at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid, N.Y.
