RENDON - Edith Berthene Baker, 86, a homemaker, passed away Friday, May 11, 2001 after several strokes and over a year in a local nursing center.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at laurel Land Memorial Chapel of Fort Worth. Interment will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
She was born on January 27, 1915. Berthene had a very full life with her late husband, Hugh. They were married for 62 years before his death in 1994. The Bakers lived in the Rendon community for 40 years, they came to this area from Lubbock. They were members of Retta Baptist Church. They really knew how to enjoy life and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son; and by her husband, Hugh Everitt Baker; three Brothers, Denzil Blair, W.J. Blair and Burvell Blair; and also by a great-niece, Victoria Paige Blair.
Surviors: Son, Don Baker and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Bobby Joe Baker and wife, Cynthia and their family, Jeremy Baker and wife, Michelle, Ashley, Alex and Chelsea, Toby Langford and husband, Steve and their family, Sarah and Lindsey, James Everitt Baker and wife, Shelli and their daughter, Jessica, Jack Baker and wife, Brenda; and one brother, Kelsa V. Blair.
