Beverly J. Barley was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Oswegatchie, daughter of Joseph and Ruth Dugan Blair. She attended Morristown schools.
She married Robert S. Barley on March 28, 1959, at the Presbyterian Stone Church, Ogdensburg. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm for several years on Black Lake Road. Mr. Barley died in 1987.
Mrs. Barley was employed from 1959 to 1965 at the former Fisherman's Landing restaurant, Black Lake. She also worked cleaning cottages on Black Lake. Mrs. Barley was a volunteer for several organizations in the Hammond, Brier Hill and Morristown communities. She enjoyed gardening and animals.
