Peggy Jo Johnson was born to Sophie and Rudolph Johnson on September 21, 1931 and passed away on January 20, 1996 after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her father Rudolph Johnson.
She is survived by her children Nancy Blair Spradling and her husband Tim of Lubbock Texas. Gary Blair of Lubbock Texas. Susan Blair Oviedo and husband Mario of Santa Rosa New Mexico. Patti Blair and and Karen Blair Hobson of Albuquerque New Mexico. Her mother Sophie Johnson Of Santa Rosa New Mexico. Her brothers Jack Johnson of Capitan New Mexico, Jimmie Johnson of Santa Rosa New Mexico and a sister Charlotte Hennigan of Raton New Mexico. Eleven grandchildren and one great grand child.
Peggy grew up on a ranch near Vaughn N.M. and graduated from Vaughn High School in 1949. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952 with a degree in Nursing.
She met Warren Blair in Lubbock Texas and married on March 2, 1952 and made their home there until 1972. She moved back home to Santa Rosa in May of 1972 and worked as the local Public Health Nurse until 1988.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Blair, Joe Lucero, Micah Spradling and Bobby Hobson. Also her nephews Melvin and Bill Johnson. Services were held at United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa and burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
