Geneva Neece Blain, 62, passed away July 25, 1985 at the Grayson County Hospital. / Born January 11, 1923, she was the adopted daughter of Louise Standard and wife of Paul Blain, Sr. / Survivors other than the mother and husband are one son, Paul Blain, Jr. of Falls of Rough; one daughter, Linda Baker of Leitchfield; and one sister, Mrs. Wanda Jefferies of Indiana. Four grandchildren also survive. / Funeral services were held July 27, 1985 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with interment in the Blain Family Cemetery. Bro. Glenn Ledbetter officiated.

Geneva was born Geneva Meece, the daughter of James and Rachel Jones Meece. (Married March 26, 1923 in Harlan, KY). Geneva, along with her brothers James Meece, JR and Eugene were place in the Lyndon, KY orphanage in October 1929 subsequent to their mothers death August 30, 1929 and being deemed neglected.

She was either adopted by or raised by A. Warren and Louise Standard. 1940 Census she lived with them and was listed as "lodger".
