Mrs. S. W. Blackerby, a resident of Mineral Wells since 1942, died at her home, 314 SW 7th Street Thrusday at 4pm after suffering a heart attack.
The body is at Buzbee Funeral Home pending arrival of relatives after which funeral arrangements will be completed.
Mrs. Blackerby was born in Georgia Dec. 31, 1892 and was the former Miss Georgia Ann Hayes. She and Mr. Blackerby were married in Parker County, October 24, 1910 and he survives her. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, survivors are two sons, John Lewis Blackerby of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Spencer F. Blackerby of Arlington; two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Lee McCleskey of Arlington and Mrs. Mildred Pruitt of Mineral Wells; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
