Mrs. Sarah Black Smoak, 67, of 16 Whaley Steret, died at the Tri-County Hospital at 4 p.m. yesterday after two weeks illness. She was a daughter of the late John S. Black and Mary Walker Black of Barnwell county. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church here at 3 p.m. on Thursday by Rev. Paul A. Holen and the Rev. Lewis Kirkland. Interment will follow in the Double Branch Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Dukes-Harley funeral home. Surviving are her husband, W. J. Smoak; nine children, Mrs. Robert Brasington, Mrs. William Haas, Gary Smoak, Carl Smoak, Cecil Smoak, Mrs. C. D. Nivens, all of Orangeburg; John Henry Smoak of Columbia; Kelley F. Smoak of Miami, Fla.; and Mrs. Belton Hughes of Cayce; a sister, Mrs. I. D.
