Rule Blaase Death Suicide
TUSCOLA, Ill. -- A Douglas County coroner's jury ruled Thursday that the death of Mrs. Helen Blaase, 56, Garrett, was self-inflicted. Mrs. Blaase was found dead at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the garage at her home where she had hanged herself.
Her body was discovered by Sheriff Eugene Miller and Gale Schable, a neighbor. Dr. James Taylor, Douglas County coroner, conducted the inquest.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Waddington funeral home here. Burial was in the Arcola cemetery.
Mrs. Blaase was born Feb. 12, 1905, at Arcola, a daughter of Henry and Marie Frahm Forner. She married Carl Blaase June 23, 1928, at Arcola. He died in March, 1960.
Surviving are three brothers, Glenn, Peoria; Lloyd, Mishawaka, Ind., and Harold, Arcola, and a sister, Esther Forner, Arcola.
