Mrs. Sarah A. Bixby, 89, of 2009 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, died Monday at Community-General Hospital. A native of New Haven, she lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. Surviving are a son, Raymond W.; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Riano of Sandy Creek, Mrs. Paul Purdy of San Leandro, Calif., Mrs. Joseph Ringwood of North Syracuse, and Mrs. Paul Lewis of Marion, Pa.; a sister, Alice Shaver; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 3111 James St.
