|Birth: ||Apr., 1874|
|Death: ||Aug. 3, 1938, USA|
James Edward Bivins was the third and youngest child of James G Bivins (sometimes spelled Blivins) and his wife, Sarah Jane (Gillum) Bivins.
James Bivins is listed on the 1880 Census with his mother, Sarah J Bivins, and his 2 older siblings, George C Bivins and Lucy Olive Bivins, living in Argos, Marshall County, Indiana.
George M Fish was the first husband of James' mother, Sarah Jane Gillum, and died February 24, 1862 while serving in the Civil War. On February 11, 1890 Charles V Fish (George Fish's oldest son) was assigned in Marshall County, Indiana, as Guardian for 3 of James G Blivins' children (George C, James E & Lucy O) after he died.
James Edward Bivins married Anna M (Unknown) about 1895 and is listed on the June 1, 1900 Census living in Waukesha, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, with Anna and their 2 daughters, Florence M Bivins and Margaret Bivins. His name on that Census is Edward J Bivins, and his Occupation is listed on that Census as "Barber".
It is unknown where Edward and Anna went after that, as they have been difficult to find so far on later Census records. Both daughters mentioned above are buried in Waukesha County and apparently never married.
Some records indicate James Edward Bivins died on August 3, 1938.
