Charles passed away on May 2, 2011 at home, from complications of congestive heart failure and diabetes.

He was born in Salt Lake City to Reidun Marie Lund and Charles Kidgell Bithell on Nov 24, 1930. He was a Korean War Veteran. He was a retired Salt Lake City Police Officer with 30 years service.

He married his sweetheart, Marian Betty Jensen on November 10, 1950. They were married for 60 1/2 years.

Survived by his wife and their children, Sheryl, David, Bruce, Kathy, Chris and their families. He had 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Wayne, Dean, Lynn, and his sister, Linda.

The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice, especially Carlos and Colleen, for their loving and tender care.

Funeral services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held an hour and one half before the services.
