ALBERT HENRY BISHOP, age 89, passed away on November 5, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bellefontaine, OH, on July 30, 1920, the first child of Pearl and Rosa Bishop. He served his country from 1942 through 1946 with the United States Navy. He was employed by Knapp Chevrolet for many years before his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Rosa Bishop, brothers, Oliver Bishop and Richard Bishop, sisters, Mary Walters and Betty Brewer, and wife, Joan Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Spence Bishop, his children, Carolyn Mailloux, Glenn Bishop and wife Irene, Byron Bishop and wife Elizabeth, Julia Hinna, Jonel Lockler and husband Kevin, his niece Donna Brewer, his stepchildren, Mark Lyons and wife Tammy, Tonya Roemer and husband Doyle and his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 9pm on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Del Angel Funeral Home at 5100 North Freeway. The funeral services will begin at 10am on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Bethel Baptist Church, 25 Tidwell Road, Pastor David Barrett officiating. Interment will be at 12:30pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive where he will receive a 21 gun salute from the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
