GRANBURY -- Graveside services for Marlon James Bishop, 81, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006, at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas. Mr. Bishop passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006, in DeCordova. Mr. Bishop was born September 27, 1925, in Devol, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Sarah Spears Bishop. He married Edna Faye Stevens on September 9, 1944, at Camp Howze, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bishop worked as an auditor supervisor for the Department of Defense. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Bishop on April 9, 2003. Survivors include his sons, Clifford Joe Bishop of Ishmia, Turkey, and Perry Lynn Bishop of DeCordova; grandchildren, Heather Bishop and Phillip Bishop; and a sister, Dorothy Bishop of Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, (817) 573-3000.
