Bernice Baker, 91, of Owenton, died Wednesday at her home.

She was a homemaker and a member of Southfork Baptist Church. Her husband, Foster Baker, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Don Bishop of Owenton; a brother, J.B. Bishop of Owenton; a grandson and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McDonald and New Funeral Home, Seminary Street location, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 506 E. Pike St., Cynthiana, Ky. 41031 or Southfork Baptist Church, 1650 Southfork Road, Owenton, Ky. 40359.

Bernice Baker, 91, of Owenton, died Oct. 26, 2005, at her residence. Born Sept. 1, 1914, in Owen County, she was a homemaker and a member of Southfork Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Betty Bishop; a brother, J.B. Bishop; a grandson and his wife, Barry and Charlene Bishop; and a step-great-grandson, Logan "Butch," all of Owenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Baker; and her siblings, Goebel, Fred and Ed Bishop, Pauline Ayres and Dora Jones.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at McDonald & New Funeral Homes with Bros. Jimmy Gray and Kerry Spencer officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery Pallbearers were Ronnie and Jerry Jones, Gary and Ricky Dunavent, Buddy and Robbie Ayres and David Morse.
