GREENSBURG RECORD HERALD OBITUARY – 06/15/2011

Lucille Bloyd of Buffalo, daughter of the late Thomas Bishop & Carthie Whitlock Bishop, was born March 2, 1922 in Green County and departed this life Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was 89 years, 3 months and 9 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include 3 sons, Robert Perkins of Campbellsville, Morris Perkins of Buffalo and David Perkins of Campbellsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & David Richerson of Campbellsville; 2 sisters, Violet Trowbridge of Bowling Green and Valda Tanner of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms Bloyd was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Dimple Meyers, Allie Hughes, James Bishop and Clarence Bishop. The funeral services for Lucille Bloyd were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Robert Adkins and Bro. Billy Bowen officiated. Visitation was Sunday evening and Monday morning at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home. Pallbearers were David Richerson, Malcolm Richerson, Roman Richie, Aaron Perkins and Chris Perkins.
