Catherine Carey Bisbee passed away Monday morning, Nov. 12, 2006, at Lake Shore Village. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. Interment will be in Hollywood, Fla., at the Fred Hunter Memorial Garden.

Catherine Nell Thomas was born on March 13, 1920, in Marion, Ind., to the late Sherman and Bertha (Harrington) Thomas. She lived in Indiana until the early 1950's and then moved to South Florida. She remained in South Florida until 1993, at which time she moved to Waco to be near family after the destruction from Hurricane Andrew in 1992. She was a retired food service technician, and a fifty year plus member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the First Methodist Church in Dania, Fla.

Mrs. Bisbee was preceded in death by two spouses, Eugene Carey and Charles Bisbee; and eight siblings.

She is survived by a son, Frederick Carey and wife, Geraldine (Gerri), of Waco; grandchildren, Douglas R. Carey, of Wichita, Kan., and Krista J. Bain, of Waco; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Nathleen Ford, of Marion, Ind.
