Mrs. Geraldine Birdsong Sessions, age 86, of Thomaston GA, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at Riverside Nursing Center.
Mrs. Sessions was born May 29, 1929 in Upson County to the late Owen K. and Mattie Lee Birdsong. She retired from Thomaston Mills where she was a clerk in the supply room. She was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, WMU, and also member of the URMC Hospital Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her husband, D.J. Sessions; and son, Neil Sessions. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly (Doyle) Crum of Marietta, and Ginger Manus of Thomaston; grandchildren, Ben (Tory) Sessions, Ashley (Jeremy) Basilici, Drew Crum, Erin (Patrick) Kornegay, Emma Manus; great-grandchildren, Charlie Basilici, Finley Sessions, Wyatt Sessions, Brinley Kornegay; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sessions will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the East Thomaston Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
