Cynthia Bird, age 46, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 after a seven year battle with cancer. She was born December 23, 1958 in Provo, Utah to J. Don Bird and Mrs. Stan (Colleen) Thatcher. Cindy graduated from Springville High School and attended the University of Utah. She worked 20 years for Southland Corp. in Utah and Colorado. Cindy excelled in all sports. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Cindy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her parents, siblings: Kerry (Karen) Bird, Denise (Craig) Pickering, Leslee (David) Henson, Scott (Rochelle) Bird, Steven (Jill) Bird, and many nieces and nephews that considered her their favorite aunt. The family would like to thank all of her friends who loved and supported her through her illness. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Mapleton White Church at 31 West Maple in Mapleton. There will be a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
