She was the daughter of the late Aught and Celia Hopson Birchfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Barnett, January 21, 1977.

Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Hopson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services and interment were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 12, in the Tiger Whitehead Cemetery.
