THOMAS HARNED BINGAMAN
Thomas Harned Bingaman was born February 4, 1858, the son of Henry and Rachel Bingaman, and he lived near Columbia, Ia. all his life. His death occurred Dec. 27, 1929, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 23 days.
He was married to Flora Alice Jolliffe Dec. 14, 1882, who survives him. To them eight children were born, seven of whom survive him. They are Jessie, at home, Pearlie, of Attica, Clark, at home, Roy, of Swan, Mrs. George Lankford, of Milo, Mrs. Paul Work and Mrs. Arthur Bassett, of Attica.
Three brothers, Henry P. Bingaman, of Williamson, John Bingaman, of Lovilia, Lewis Bingaman, of Columbia; three sisters, Lizzie Garrett, of Purdy, Mrs. Hester Overton, of Chariton, and Lavenia Pearson, of Watengo, Okla., and fifteen grandchildren survive him.
Mr. Bingaman was a member of the Oakdale church for approximately sixty years and lived a good Christian life. His honesty, industry and good fellowship made him a well liked citizen.
The funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. from the Oakdale church. Rev. Meeker, of Williamson, was in charge.
