Etha Lucille Billips, 90, of the White Gate community, Pearisburg, Va., went to be with her Lord at her home on Saturday, April 25, 2009. She was born at Wolf Creek, Va. on May 23, 1918, the daughter of the late George P. and Annie May Day Tracy. Also preceded by several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist church, was a founding member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Women and held several offices in the church. She is survived by one son, Duane R. Billips and wife Marie, of White Gate; two grandchildren, Anthony Billips, Roanoke, Diana Billips, Ceres; one great-granddaughter, Emily Cassell, Ceres; one sister-inlaw, Ruth Billips, Bland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. Burial in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
