Mrs. Nelson Sanders Dies This Morning
Passes Away at Home South of Rensselaer Following Long Illness
Mrs. Nelson Sanders died at her home six miles south of Rensselaer following a illness of several months. She was 74 years old and had spent most of her liftime in Jasper county.
Mrs. Mary Etta Sanders was born at Surrey, in Jasper County, June 30, 1871, the daughter of Jacob Bierly and Mary Ann Groom. She was married to Tarence Wesley Clemmans who died a few years after her marriage. She was married to Nelson Sanders April 20, 1915, and since 1920 had lived on a farm south of Rensselaer in Jordan township.
Mrs. Sanders was a member of the Rebekah lodge and James Ladies' Aid.
Surviving besides the husband are four children, Mrs. George Gowlan of LaPorte, Ernest Clemmans of Chesterton, Charles Clemmans of Rensselaer and Wesley Clemmans of Rensselaer. One daugher, Mary Etta, died in infancy. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sayers of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. John Swint of Beckley, Washington and two brothers, William Bierly of Rensselaer and Milton Bierly of North Dakota.
The funeral arrangements have not been made. The remains will be at the W.J. Wright Chapel until the funeral hour.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sanders will be held from W.J. Wright Chapel at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Earl Moore officiating. Interment will be at Weston cemetery.
