Gus A. Bickett, 65, of 1408 Rose Ave., Owensboro, died Saturday, November 13, 1993, at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. He was born in Daviess County, was a retired painter and attended St. Stephen Cathedral. He was a son of the late Monica & Zula Payne Bickett. A brother, James Bickett, died in 1979. Survivors include his wife, Mary Eva Bickett; a daughter, Eva Bickett Daugherty of Owensboro; 4 sons, Samuel R. Bickett, William J. Bickett and Larry T. Bickett, all of Owensboro, and William Whitmer of Houston; and 10 grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial in St. William Cemetery, Knottsville. Visitation from 2-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, 920 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301 or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
