She was born March 14, 1931, to Hugh and Annelle Palmer in Paris. She was a graduate of Paris High School, Paris Junior College and North Texas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Catherine fell in love with her Paris Wildcat, James Biard, and they married on Easter Sunday in 1948. They later moved to Dumas, Texas for 20 years before returning to Paris, where Mrs. Biard became a librarian and piano teacher.
In 1990, Mr. and Mrs. Biard moved to Valliant where she played piano and taught Sunday school at the United Methodist Church.
One of Mrs. Biard's loves was teaching piano. She had as many as 85 students at a time in both Dumas and Paris. She continued to teach piano until her death.
Mrs. Biard is survived by three children, Elizabeth Ann, Richard Palmer, and Robert Scott. She had eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
