BEST-Adam K. BEST, one of the oldest residents of Flemington, died at the home of his son, Samuel T. BEST, Monday night at 10:30, after an eight week's illness of heart disease. Had he lived until next month he would have been eighty-three years of age.
Deceased was born in Nittany Valley and has lived all his life in this section, coming to Flemington to reside over forty years ago.
He was a carpenter and contractor, and has constructed many of the large buildings in this part of the county. Prior to his illness, he was active despite his advanced years.
He leaves on daughter, Mrs. James EBERHART, of this city, and two sons, William G., of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Samuel, of Flemington, with whom he made his home.
Funeral services were conducted from his son, Samuel's residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. J.H. BETTENS, pastor of the Flemington Methodist church. Inaterment was made in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
