Larry Douglas Beshires, 73, died on April 5, 2014 at his home in Henderson, Tennessee. He was born and raised in Chester County, the son of the late John Adams and Rona Magdeline (Roland) Beshires. He graduated from Chester County High School and served six years in the Tennessee National Guard, specializing in welding. He was owner and operator of West Side Small Engine Repair for forty years. He later worked at Western Auto in south Jackson and then as maintenance supervisor at Westview Manor Apartments in Somerville and later as apartment compex manager. He retired in 2007. He was a charter member of the Hickory Corner Community Center and had served as president and trustee. He also served as a Henderson City Police officer and worked as an EMT for the Chester County EMS and was an ambulance attendant in the first Walking Tall movie. He was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; J.L., Wayne, Cornice, and Bobby, and a daughter, Debra Beshires in 1978. He is survived by his wife, son, step-son, step-daughter, twelve grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral: 4 p.m. April 7, 2014 at Palestine Baptist Church.
