Lois Atkins, 73, Zeigler, Illinois passed away at 2:04 p.m., Tuesday, December 05, 2006 at her home. Lois was born August 28, 1933 in Zeigler to James Olin and Agnes Lorraine (Slack) Berry. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Max Kirk and Pat and Terry Eubanks of Zeigler and Lorri and Larry D. Martin of Mulkeytown; ten grandchildren, Dee and Tom Wallace, Stephanie and Mike McCluskey, Sandra and Jerry Bate, Justin and Teresa Cocke, Ryan and Bobbi Martin and Bryan Eubanks all of Zeigler, Connie Kirk and Lori and Adam Gatz all of Michigan and Roxanna Eubanks of Centralia; 15 great grandchildren, Tyler, Kalyn, Savanna, Chloe, Landen, Isabella, Cody, Mikayla, Noelle, Kynzie, Olivia, Madeline, Evan, Grace and David; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gerry Hays of Herrin and Jackie and Tom Noto of Zeigler and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and a son, Donnie Atkins preceded her in death. Lois attended the Church of Christ at Minor in Mulkeytown, was a member of the Zeigler Eagles Auxiliary and a homemaker. Grave side funeral services for Mrs. Atkins will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Zeigler Cemetery. There is no visitation, family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Atkins may be made to the "Zeigler Fire Department-First Responders".
