He was born the son of Paul Dwight Berry and Jessie Beatrice (Ravenstein) Berry on August 4, 1930 in Norwich, Kansas.
On February 13, 1955 he and Juanita Rosalie Brennon were united in marriage in Beaver, Oklahoma.
Dwight was a member of the Argonia United Methodist Church, and a past member of the Argonia Lions Club.He had been a member of the Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association since 1966 and was the KLICA Contractor of the year in 1977.
Dwight was a quiet man who enjoyed restoring antique tractors. He was a strong family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. His family was everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Junior Berry, sisters Ruth Rhodes, Mabelle Kennedy, and Pauline Berry.
Survivors include his wife Juanita of the home, son Dale Berry and his wife Jennifer of Argonia, Kansas; daughter Janet Goertzen of Wichita, Kansas; grandsons Steven Heyman of Burns Kansas, and Dalton Berry of Argonia, Kansas, and a granddaughter Natali Goertzen of Wichita, Kansas; sister Althea Garoutte of American Canyon, California.
Funeral services for Dwight will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2004 at the Argonia United Methodist Church in Argonia, Kansas. The Reverend Don Swender of the Argonia United Methodist Church will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2004.
Interment will be in the Argonia Cemetery with full Military Honors.
