WHITE HORSE, N.J., March 28- William Berkeyheiser, Civil War veteran and one of the oldest residents of this vicinity, died last night at his home here following an illness of about two weeks. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock from his late home here. Services will be conducted in the Groveville M.E. Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the Groveville Cemetery under the direction of Saul. Mr. Berkeyheiser was was 80 years old, volunteered for service in the Civil War in 1862. He participated in several battles during his three years in the service and was wounded while in action. Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sallie M. Tindall, of Elizabeth, N.J., Mrs. Elizabeth Garrison of Trenton, and Miss Elsie Berkeyheiser of this place; four sons, Christopher and Edward Berkeyheiser of this place, and Robert H. and William R. Berkeyheiser, of Trenton; two sisters, and one brother, Sixteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
