PORTER WOMAN STROKE
VICTIM FAILS SURVIVE
CHESTERTON, IND., March 4, Mrs. Augusta Berg, age 77 years, died Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at her hom west of Porter. Death followed a stroke suffered last Friday.
She was born on April 4, 1859, in Sweden, her maiden name being Augusta Johnson. She was united in marriage to Alvin Berg, in Chicago.
Thirty years ago the couple came to Porter and purchased a farm near the Augsburg Lutheran church. Mr. Berg died 15 years ago. Ther are no children.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Herman Malmquist of Chicago.
Memorial services will be Saturday afternoon at the home and at the Augsburg Lutheran church with Rev. Paul V. Nelson officiation and burial in Burstrom cemetery.
